Sinceramente preferisco un'installazione obbligatoria minimale (a volte neanche tanto ... ) e una giocabilità fluida al 'o installi tutti o aspetti nei caricamenti'

Tanto alla fine pure sulla X360 devi avere il disco dentro pur avendo installato

The PS Jailbreak PS3 mod chip has a piece of homebrew software that you load up and will create backups of your original games onto the hard drive, be it the internal one in your console or an external USB one you can hook up, being the PS3 hard drives are quite small the feature of being able to use an external hard drive is great, because you can get a 3.5” 1TB drive quite cheap these days and this would be the best way to go, this will leave your internal hard drive for normal use and once again won’t wear it out. This little homebrew backup manager program is extremely easy to use and fast, the speed that it can backup most games is amazing, some games can be done in a matter of minutes while others can take an hour, it all depends on the size of the game. The interface for the backup manager is nice and we are sure they will improve upon it over he coming months.

Note that your PS3 console will need to be updated to 3.41 for the PS Jailbreak PS3 modchip to function correctly, they have been optimized for this firmware version and if you are not running it you should either update your PS3 online or go to the Sony website and download their 3.41 firmware onto a USB flash drive and update your console. The best way would be to use the USB flash drive as it’s quite fast. Running the PS Jailbreak PS3 mod chip on an earlier firmware can cause erratic behaviour, for example our test machine here would not boot with the dongle plugged in until we updated to the latest 3.41 firmware. Another thing to remember when using the PS Jailbreak is that to play your games off the hard drive you will need to leave one of your original games in the console, not a big problem but just something to remember. The official PS Jailbreak website will have full manuals for using the device, as well as firmware updates and troubleshooting guides.

Something else that has been promised is the PS Jailbreak mod chip will be firmware updateable, so not only will there be updates to their backup manager homebrew software, but there will be core updates for the PS Jailbreak device itself, this ensures that bugs found can be addressed in a firmware update for the dongle device itself. The PS Jailbreak will disable your console from doing automatic updates after installed, this is to prevent any newer firmwares released for the console that could interfere with the way the product works.

While the PS Jailbreak PS3 modchip does allow you to make backups of your original Bluray PS3 games and launch 3rd party applications, it does not allow you to make backups of bluray movies, dvd movies or past Playstation games such as 1 & 2, but with saying that all that most of us want is to be able to take advantage of the homebrew software that will be developed that this device can boot and to make legitimate backups of all our original games onto a hard drive for ease of loading and storage, no more scatted game covers everywhere, no more will the kids scratch and wreak valuable original game discs, and the life of the consoles laser will be significantly increased, as we all know PS3 lasers aren’t cheap especially on the old 60GB units, so there is so many positives to the new PS Jailbreak PS3 modchip and sure more to come with the PS3 homebrew community.

A. Apparently 150 games have been tested, we don't have 150 games here, so we cannot verify that. We have 12 games, and 2 don't seem to start. We could be doing something wrong but its most likely a bug. We are pretty sure all that is needed is an update to the backup manager software. If a game happens to have 1 file over 4gb the program will not be able to rip the game onto the fat32 harddrive. The work around is to dump it on an internal hardrive which does not have a file size limit.

Q. Can I still play online with PS Jailbreak?
A. When today (19.08.2010) you can, we can't guarantee you will never be banned for using the 3rd party device. It probably easy for Sony to detect this with an update, and you need to currently have the latest firmware to play online. Since the console is hacked, there might be a way to play online without having the latest firmware...

Ordinando i giochi dall'Uk con l'equivalente di 200 dollari vi comprate almeno 6 o 7 giochi abbastanza recenti, con la sicurezza di poter giocare online e fare altro con la console

Ho esaminato lo schema della chiavetta e il firmware e dubito che una volta tappata la falla si potr? "riusare" la scoperta fatta per sbloccare ancora una volta la ps3

Ci sono varie filosofie di pensiero....
Comunque ieri sera me son arrivate in mano alcune scatole di vecchi giochi del saturn e del dreamcast.... Roba cinese di provenienza losca...

Comunque scherzi a parte come ho ribadito più volte per me difficilmente troveranno un hack definitivo ... più che trovare qualche falla come ha fatto geohot o quelli di questa mod ...
